The weather System includes a satellite, computer monitor and receiver. DTN provides Real-Time information about the weather that affects our area. As a subscriber to DTN Weather Center The Waveland Fire Department can rely on accurate and easily accessible weather information as a critical ingredient in operating, operations planning, and staffing decisions.  Information such as; local radar, NOAA severe weather warnings, international weather, radar, storm tracking, current conditions, weather warnings, storm advisories, comprehensive local, regional and national weather forecasts plus national and international news. DTN Weather Safety Center provides valuable weather information, warnings and alerts to emergency management professionals and anyone who is responsible for protecting lives and property from the hazards of severe weather. This system is combined with the City of Waveland Fire Department’s Severe Weather plan.
