As a public service the City Of Waveland will provide you with the following information regarding whether property located within the City Of Waveland is located in special flood hazard areas as well as any other information on the Flood Insurance Rate Map such as:

1. The Community number

2.The panel number and suffix

3. The date of the Firm index (cover panel)

4. The FIRM zone (e.g., A, B, C, V, AH, A9, etc.)

5. The Base flood elevation (the depth in AO zones)

6.The required building height

7. The elevation datum used on the FIRM, if other than NGVD

Christine Gallagher, Zoning Official, or Michael Horne, Building Inspector, will be available to assist you and provide information.

Flood Zone Description

A, AE & AH -Zones are the Special Flood Hazard areas that have a 1 % chance of being flooded in any given year

V- Zones are the Special Flood Hazard areas along the coastline that have additional hazards due to the velocity of waves and also have a 1 % chance of being flooded within any given year.

X- Zones are the areas between the Special Flood Hazard area and the limits of the 500 year flood
